History of Uni Electric Inc., USA

The Uni Electric Company was founded by the William Edison family in Buffalo, New York. Later, a group of Indonesian businessmen acquired a majority stake in the company, renaming it Uni Electric Inc. The company is now headquartered in Lexington, KY, and has a representative office in Indonesia under the name Uni Electric International Inc. This branch specializes in high-pressure electrical equipment and aluminum-based residential products.

The UNEL™ brand has been well-recognized across the Americas for its quality electrical and aluminum-based products. UNEL™, an abbreviation of Uni Electric Inc., U.S.A., is a registered trademark, certified by both the United States Patents and Trademarks Office (Reg. No. 4,186,107, registered on August 7, 2012) and the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia.

Current Operations
UNEL™ is a fully owned subsidiary of Uni Electric International Inc., with its headquarters and main facilities located in the West Tangkerang Industrial Estate in Indonesia. The company operates on a 103,000-square-meter campus, focusing on the production and manufacturing of aluminum products.
